A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas: Did You Know? The Barn Set Contained Actual 100-Year-Old Wood Back
| |
The barn set was constructed from materials taken from an actual 100-year-old barn belonging to the Fredrickson family of Carl Junction. Director Shawn DeGraff, Sound and Lights Assistant Carol Schlicht, and three members of Girl Scout Troop 6738 (Kaleigh Cyr, Lizzy Schlicht, and Alyssia Soto) took the barn apart in November using only hand tools. The implements that hung on the barn set during the show dated back to the 1800s, and were supplied by Judy Wampler (our resident Laura Ingalls Wilder expert, who also played the "blond" Mrs. Starr).
